Life Beyond the Labels
You are not your limitations. You are not your worst day.
You are not the sum of what you’ve been told you can’t do.
You’re here because some part of you already knows that.

You are not your limitations. You are not your worst day.
You are not the sum of what you’ve been told you can’t do.
You’re here because some part of you already knows that.
You’ve felt limited by what society tells you is an “adequate” goal.
You’ve gotten advice from people who mean well, but don’t know the more difficult nuances of your daily life.
You’ve had good days that made you wonder if you’d been faking all along, and hard days that made you wonder if the good ones were some sort of trick. …somehow.
You’ve been handed a label and expected to build a life inside it, or pretend it was never yours.
And some days, you’re tired. Not lazy-tired. Torn-in-two-tired. Walking-the-line-tired.
This is a place that was built for you.
Not for the label.
For you.
Unique challenges and all.
A place for people who refuse to let a limitation write their whole story. Where rest is just as necessary as action. Where the goal isn’t to overcome your life.
It’s to live it – truly live it; honoring your challenges and embracing your unique abilities.
Long-form guides, thought leadership, and real talk — because you deserve more than a listicle.

I’ve wrestled with absence seizures and other health challenges since before I can remember, but they never truly felt like limitations any more than not being able to fly was. Why? I learned early on that this was just my unique handicap in the game of life (pun absolutely intended), and play got to adjust accordingly – not stop altogether.
As I approached adulthood and things like driving and living alone weren’t viable options, I had a choice to make: do I listen to the voices that shout “all or nothing,” and let the big no’s discourage me? OR do I hold true to the viewpoint I was taught find a different set of rules to play by, even as that grew trickier?
Well, my friend, “raise up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
And, thus, The Able Life was born: a framework, solidified by a community, with which to transform the “can’t’s” in your life into “how’s.” A team behind you, encouraging you to smirk in the face of the impossible and spit out, “watch me.”
The Able Life Community is a Skool community for those who are done white-knuckling their way through life and are ready to build something that is sustainable for them.
