Happy Easter
Hello everyone and Happy belated Easter!
I hope you all had a wonderful, restful holiday weekend even though we’re all stuck at home. 🙂
Cor and I have had some fun and adventures over the past week. I don’t have many pictures and/or videos this week, but most of them are from this weekend–which is why this post is called what it is. 🙃
He did get his face-hair cut by me for the first time this week. I am starting to seriously worry that summer may call for a shave. Please, Jesus, no! I want to keep the teddy-bear hair!
…but I’d prefer a non-heatstroke-afflicted dog, so… if it comes to it… *reluctant sigh* I guess I might could. But I’d go with a heat-repelling jacket first. And, as he’s gotten used to the vest, now, that might not be a problem. 🤞
Aaaanywhooo…
Cor experienced a new mode of transportation this week, and I think he liked it.
Yis, hooman! Yis I did!
Oh, yeah. And he has decided to join me in this, as it, apparently, ‘takes me away too much’. He just says that because I haven’t gone out of the house to work since he’s gotten here.
Because of the CORentine.
Quarantine, yes. Respiratory-centric previously compromised immune systems wouldn’t do so well working childcare in this time. Go figure.
Hooman! Tell them about the book!
What about the adventures we had this weekend?
After my book, Hooman!
Okay, okay. Our book, Surviving the CORentine: a Puppy’s Guide to Keeping Your Humans Moving is still good. Just sign up for the email list on that little blue pop-up, and you’ll get an email with it attached. (You may have to check your spam and/or promotions folders.)
Now can I tell them what we learned to do this weekend?
Yis, hooman! Tell them! Tell them! And then let’s do it again!
We may not–it’s cold outside, now. Because… spring.
But!
Okay, first, a bit of backstory. Legally, I can’t drive due to seizures. Neither can Marina. Which means the thing Josie gets to try before either of us is driver’s ed. …and prom, since I didn’t do that, but she’s doing it with Marina. Granted, she’s decided a leather jacket with rivets is the best thing to wear over her dress, but I wouldn’t expect anything less. Plus, the fact she’s in a dress–
hoo-MAN!
Oh, right. Okay. I can’t drive…
…a car. They never said anything about a bike.
Buuut… I can’t guarantee I could keep the bike balanced during a seizure, so Mom and Dad are a bit hesitant to let me bike on my own, even just up to church for childcare–five minutes away–or through our neighborhood for dogsitting. (Shameless plugs, by the way. 🙃 ya’know, for when we’re all allowed to go outside again.)
EXCEPT… they make big tricycles for exactly that reason–balance. Not childcare and dogsitting.
See that basket in the back there?
…
Eeee!
So, Josie sent us on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood on Easter, and he rode around in the basket (with a little mat on the bottom). When we got back, this happened!
Also, our Easter baskets were all combined this year, and we got Settlers of Catan, and, like the nerds we are, we’ve had three logic/pioneering tactics classes within 24/25 hours. Lol! 😄
AND we went on a ride and I got voluntary (!!!) puppy snuggles!
Happy Easter!
💜 You were not born to fail! 💜

Hi it’s Brenda from RubyHemMinistries.com Loving your blog as I also have a service dog.
I’m glad you’re loving it! Hugs and happiness to you and your doggo!
You are such a talent…when your first book is published can I have a copy that is signed by you and COR? His foot print will suffice as his signature.
Much love to you,
BJ
😀 sure! Of course! And thank you! Comes from years of practice and a gift of God! 🙂
This is wonderful!! So happy for you! Way to think outside the proverbial box.
